This Department which took off as a separate department from the beginning of the 2004/2005 session is borne out of the University’s unquenchable desire to provide an unrivalled and high quality Christian academic, vocational and professional education in Economics and Banking and Finance with a view to meeting the qualitative manpower needs of both national and international industries, public and private sector establishments and not-for-profit organizations through research and functional applications. |

| Objectives |
The Department offers courses leading to the award of Bachelor of Science Degrees in the areas of Economics or Banking and Finance. The degrees can only be awarded with honours. The objective of our B.Sc degree programmes is to prepare students for careers in business organizations (including blue-chip and multinational organizations), Academic and Research. Students for these degrees are prepared for efficient and effective service in diverse areas in both the Public and Private sectors. |
